  • Mixed Wastes, eg. waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive waste components
  • Characteristic Wastes, these do not fit into a specific category but are classified as hazardous due to their characteristics, eg. corrosive, ignitable, reactive, or toxic
  • Listed Wastes is broken down into 4 categories, F-list (common manufacturing waste like solvents and cleaning products) K-list (specific industry waste for example, pesticide or petroleum production). P & U-list (discarded commercial chemical products that are unused)
